SBERBANK TURNS 175

In November 2016, Sberbank celebrated its 175-year-old anniversary in six of its Moscow branches. The lobbies of their offices were transformed, bursting with festive summer mood: green lawns, swing sets, lighting installations, and reproductions of famous paintings were introduced for one day.

The birthday celebrations integrated Sberbank’s partners from the DRUG program (where “drug” reads as “droog” and means “friend” in Russian): companies such as Nespresso, Volvo, and others provided gifts and treats. A fun and cheerful performance by “Vysokie Liudi” (Russian for “Tall People”) made the day for both employees and customers of Sberbank alike.

A fundraiser lottery was held as part of the celebrations, supported by the bank's partners and the “Podari Zhizn” (“Give Life”) foundation, raising over one million rubles in total.
