Ploom Tastemakers

In summer 2020 we launched an online zine Ploom Tastemakers on the BURO. media platform. Reality around us was changing rapidly, and we asked the participants, professionals united by taste for life and ability to reinvent themselves and their metier, to answer questions about the future.

Architect Natalia Belonogova, hotelier Anna Endrikhovskaya, film director Oleg Trofim, professional traveller Gennady Jozefavichus, actor Yuri Kolokolnikov, and astrologer Olga Osipova gave us video interviews. Mumiy Troll and Tesla Boy bands performed concerts online; the latter played at the Aptekarsky ogorod greenhouse. Actors of Masterskaya Brusnikina filmed a mocumentary about the specifics of the theatre process.

We’d picked the participants for the project, conducted interview filming and concerts’ broadcasting, and prepared editorial content for the zine. The project page attracted more than 125 000 unique visitors in two months.
